"The UTSS Express" Performance Ensemble ($60/4 weeks):
The UTSS Express is our very own student rock band. Coming to this class will prepare students to rehearse with their own bands. Classes will focus on learning songs as a group, along with common band dynamic techniques, including hand signals and other group dynamics techniques. Each week, students will learn new songs, rehearse repertoire and learn to communicate with each other, even if people are playing different instruments. Additionally, students will learn how to interpret a lead sheet and various other forms of music notation used often in band rehearsals. The class will perform several pieces at the monthly student showcases.
Vocalists, Guitarists, Bassists, Percussionists, Pianists, Keyboardists, and all other instruments are welcome, by audition or invitation only.
