Introduction to Stage Acting ($80/4 weeks)

Students will explore and examine the skills necessary to present a monologue in a staged format.  Focus will be given to motivation, staging, and presentation. Students will choose pieces from pre-existing works facilitated by the instructor. Each student will perform a monologue at the end of each 4 week session. 

This is our introductory level acting class. Students will be given basic lessons in many stage skills, including proper vocal production, taking direction, stage movement, and stage makeup.  Also, students will have classes in acting skills, including motivation, and character commitment.

Introduction To Stage Acting is a 4-16 week course, divided into 4 sessions for your convenience.

Quarterly, we present a showcase performance for students who have participated in the class for 8 or more weeks and have completed pieces to present. Tuition for Introduction To Stage Acting is paid by the session and at least 1 session's commitment is necessary to enroll so that proper relationships between actors can be established.
